Wolverine star Hugh Jackman has announced that he will donate $100,000 to charity - and just which charity that will be is up to the Twitter community.

The Australian movie star tweeted on Tuesday, "I will donate $100k to one individual's favorite non profit organization. Of course, you must me why by using 140 characters or less."

Jackman, who currently has 37,000 followers, will announce the lucky winner in 10 days time, leaving him plenty of time to accrue nominations - and fresh followers!

He may reveal the chosen charity on Ryan Seacrest's LA based breakfast radio show, with the actor tweeting, "Hey Ryan! Should we call the winning charity on your morning show on Friday, 24th?"

He adds, "The more passion shown for your charity the better! Get the support of your friends and teach them the importance of giving."
